On 17 January 2025, a loan settlement agreement entered into between CHK Oil Limited and Xin Hua Petroleum (Hong Kong) Limited, in which CHK Oil Limited will allot and issue 12,048,912 new shares at the issue price of HK$0.415 per share to Xin Hua upon completion of this transaction, as a settlement of loan due from CHK Oil Limited to Xin Hua in the amount of HK$5,000,000.
